WRITING & MARKETING THE TELEVISION PILOT — PART 2
Complete & Market Your Pilot
You have pages. Let’s finish what you started.

6 Saturdays • April 4 – May 9 • 2:00–5:00 PM ET • Live on Zoom • Limited to 14 writers

THE STALLED WRITER “I started strong. Then somewhere in the middle it stopped making sense and I haven’t touched it since.” You have pages — maybe a teaser, maybe a roughed-in Act One. They’re sitting in a folder. Bring them. We’ll diagnose, restructure where needed, and get you all the way to FADE OUT. |
THE PART 1 GRADUATE “I have my outline and opening act. Now I need to finish the script and build the pitch materials.” You’ve done the foundational work. Part 2 takes you from polished Act One to complete teleplay — plus the pitch bible and deck that make your pilot market-ready. |
|
Part 2 is designed for writers who have an opening act — whether polished or rough — and need the structure, feedback, and accountability to get all the way to FADE OUT. |
What You Bring. What You Leave With.

WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH
|
Six Saturdays. One Complete Pilot.
|
WEEKS 1–4 Workshop Acts Two Through Five Every Saturday, you’ll bring new pages and workshop them live with Diana and your cohort. Real-time, actionable feedback on what’s working — and specific solutions for what isn’t. You’ll leave each session knowing exactly what to write next. |
|
WEEKS 5–6 Build Your Pitch Materials With a complete script in hand, the final two sessions shift to the business side: crafting your pitch bible, building a pitch deck, and learning which competitions and industry pathways make sense for your specific project. |
The Secret Ingredient
Sure, there are on-demand video lessons. But here’s what actually moves the needle:
Every Saturday, you’ll workshop your actual pages with professional television writer Diana Botsford and a cohort of fellow writers building right alongside you. No theoretical discussions — just real-time feedback on the pilot you’re actively writing. This is where things shift: when you hear how your pages land, discover what’s working, and get specific solutions for what isn’t.
|
Immediate Course Correction Don’t wait until your script is “done” to find out it has structural problems. Get feedback as you write, so every act builds on a solid foundation. |
Community Accountability Weekly deadlines and peer support keep you moving. You’ll finish what you start because others are counting on you — and you’re counting on them. |
|
Learn from Every Page Workshopping isn’t just about your own script. Engaging with others’ pages sharpens your editorial eye — insights that immediately improve your own writing. |
Industry-Standard Process Professional TV writers rooms run on feedback. This workshop gives you that experience before you ever walk into a network meeting or writers’ room. |
